I saw "There Will Be Blood" tonight. _great_ movie, I recommend it highly. Though I can see how some would find it boring. There are a lot of scenes with no dialogue (in fact, the only word uttered in the first 5 minutes or so is "no") which are beautifully filmed. I've noticed a lot of people seem to be kind of opposite to me, where I find long bits of dialogue with little visual stimulus boring, they find long bits without dialogue boring.
My only gripe is the music. It's a bit too loud, and it is used out of place a lot, though I think the out of place usage is intentional to keep you feeling uneasy, and it succeeds in that. Heh.
